Red has had a very traumatic time. He was probably being used for illegal hare coursing when he broke his front leg. Instead of getting him the treatment he needed the people who had him left him in the middle of nowhere, in pain, tied so tightly to a tree that if he lay down he would have strangled himself.  Red was incredibly lucky that he was found before he became too exhausted to stand any longer.

Sadly it was not possible to save Red's leg, so it had to be amputated.

Red is coping really well, he can be cheeky, he is a happy boy and can still run very fast!

Red is now looking for a kind, loving home where he can live the life he deserves.

To ensure we get the right match for you and our dogs we do ask that prospective adopters and their family visit the dog at least 3 times.  You will be able to take the dog out for a walk and play with him in the paddocks.

If you already have a family dog then he must come along as well to make sure they like and accept each other.

There is an adoption fee of £150. This goes towards covering the cost of boarding and vet bills for all the cats and dogs in our care. RSPCA Lincs East is responsible for raising the majority of its own funds through our volunteers fundraising in the local area
